Referral to Treatment Validator

The Referral to Treatment Validator will assist the Bristol Eye Hospital to deliver high quality, accurate patient data related to 18 week pathways Referral to Treatment (RTT) and/or average waits.

The post holder will support the Bristol Eye Hospital and utilise every data source available, e.g. Careflow PAS and patient notes, to clarify and confirm patients’ RTT status prior to external reporting.

The post holder will be provided with key set tasks via a ‘validation work program’ and assigned different tasks in order to check data quality reports, validate patient pathways and amend/correct information in Careflow patient administration system against the findings.

We are looking for an organised and diligent person who would like to make a difference in the patient journey, ensure that patients are treated in a timely manner and help supporting the Trust in meeting RTT national performance targets.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Bristol to work as part of the Performance Team at the Bristol Eye Hospital to assist with the validation of Referral to Treatment (RTT) pathways and data quality report checking.

This role requires you to validate patients on clinical pathway, record RTT information into our patient administrative system (Careflow), investigate why delays have taken place and report them to the Performance and Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will possess the skills and key competencies to support the needs of the department, as stipulated in the person specification.

We will offer the successful candidate the relevant training however previous experience of working with Careflow (formally called Medway) and RTT pathways is preferred.

You will be required to have a professional and mature working attitude and have patient care as your primary concern.
